design competition of a large-scale shopping-complex, Dubai, Emirates.

The shopping-complex is sub-divided into different departments, located around a central node volume.

Each department is set out around a court containing restaurants and

leisure.

The roof-slides provide filtered daylight for the courts of each department.

The central node volume contains the major leisure and top-restaurants, cafés, etc.

It is agolden box; inside the complex, providing the visitor clear

orientation in the big complex. The central entrance is located in

front of this.

Each department has a separate entrance, directly accessible from the parking at ground floor.

The  roof folds up to form office-blocks at the extreme end of a department.

A clear organigramme and layout provides a large-scale project with a human scale
